Celebrating Dr. Joseph Parelman’s Retirement After 35 Years of Service
Bates County Memorial Hospital would like to take a moment to recognize Dr. Joseph Parelman and his remarkable 35-year career as an ophthalmologist. After providing exceptional cataract and eye surgery services to our community since 1990, Dr. Parelman has officially retired, with his final day at BCMH being January 20, 2025.
For more than three decades, Dr. Parelman has been a trusted physician in our hospital, offering patients the convenience of high-quality eye care right here in our community. His contributions have been instrumental in improving the vision and well-being of countless individuals, ensuring that they could receive care close to home rather than having to travel far distances.
To commemorate his retirement, the hospital hosted a special lunch in Dr. Parelman’s honor, organized by Kristie McKee, RN, the surgery department manager. During this event, BCMH’s CEO, Greg Weaver, also took a moment to personally wish Dr. Parelman all the best for the future.
As Dr. Parelman steps into the next chapter of his life, he looks forward to spending more time in Colorado, where he enjoys outdoor activities in the beautiful surroundings. We are grateful for his years of dedication to our hospital and community, and we wish him nothing but happiness and fulfillment in his retirement.
“Dr. Parelman has been an integral part of our team and our community for over three decades,” said Greg Weaver, CEO of Bates County Memorial Hospital. “We are grateful for his commitment to patient care and for the positive impact he has had on the lives of so many. We wish him all the best in his retirement and the next chapter of his life.”
Thank you, Dr. Parelman, for your incredible contributions over the years.
