Introducing the BCMH Patient and Family Advisory Council

Are You the Advocate We’re Looking For?

Join our Patient and Family Advisory Council and Help Shape the Future of Care at BCMH

Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) is launching a new initiative to strengthen the voice of our patients and their loved ones in shaping care: the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC). We’re looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in how health care is delivered right here at home.

What is PFAC?

The Patient and Family Advisory Council will include five to six community members along with BCMH staff. This group will meet up to four times a year to share ideas, discuss challenges, and offer input on how BCMH can continue to improve the care and experience we provide.

Who Should Apply?

We’re looking for individuals who have experienced care at BCMH, either as a patient or a caregiver, and who are ready to help shape the future of healthcare in our community. Ideal members include:

  • Patients or family members who want to help improve the patient experience
  • Support people or caregivers who have navigated the healthcare system alongside a loved one
  • Parents passionate about improving care for children and families

Why Join?

By participating in PFAC, you will:

  • Share your story and help BCMH better understand the real-life impact of our care
  • Play a meaningful role in decisions that affect quality, safety, and patient satisfaction
  • Be part of a solution-focused team dedicated to enhancing the healthcare journey for everyone
