About

Welcome to Bates County Memorial Hospital

Welcome to Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH), an independent nonprofit community hospital serving Bates County and surrounding communities. Since 1960, we have been committed to providing quality health care close to home, with services designed to meet the needs of our rural community.

BCMH offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, surgery, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation and specialty care. Patients can also access primary care close to home through our four Family Care Clinics in Adrian, Butler and Rich Hill. Our emergency department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and BCMH also operates Bates County’s ambulance service, providing 24/7 emergency medical services across the county.

As a locally governed hospital, BCMH is guided by a leadership team and board of directors committed to the health and well-being of the communities we serve. We believe rural residents deserve access to high-quality care without having to travel far from home.

BCMH is also one of Bates County’s largest employers, with approximately 300 health care and support staff working across the organization. We are proud to provide opportunities for local residents to build meaningful careers while contributing to the health and well-being of their neighbors.
