Volunteers Gay Keen, Susie French and Lora Padley are posing here behind a mountain of socks, and a whole lot of community kindness!
After a two-month collection drive, BCMH volunteers gathered this morning to sort donations for Operation Sock It To Me, an annual effort to provide socks to Bates County schoolchildren.
Thanks to the generosity of community members and BCMH employees, this year’s collection includes socks for children in grades K-12, as well as preschool sizes. Our volunteers will deliver the donations to area schools to help keep local children warm.
We’re grateful to everyone who donated, helped organize the collection and gave their time to sort and prepare the socks for delivery. Your contributions make this annual project possible!
