Bates County Community Health Foundation Awards 2023 Scholarships

Bates County Community Health Foundation (BCCHF) is pleased to announce the scholarship recipients for 2023: Steevie Rae Kooker, Makenna Hummel, Lauren Shipley, Paige Switzer and Ida Jolliff.

Steevie Rae Kooker from Adrian who is studying Radiography at the University of Missouri – Columbia.

Makenna Hummel from Adrian who is studying Diagnostic Medical Sonography at Cox College in Springfield, Mo.

Lauren Shipley from Adrian who is pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo.

Paige Switzer from Butler who works as a CNA in the BCMH emergency department and is pursuing her nursing degree at Crowder College.

Ida Jolliff from Butler has worked as a CNA for 16 years in area nursing homes. She is currently working as a CNA in the BCMH emergency department. She is seeking her nursing degree from Crowder College.

BCCHF raises funds throughout the year and uses the proceeds in part for awarding health care scholarships to Bates County students who are pursuing a career in health care.
