Chief Nursing Officer Rebecca Tarver Retires from BCMH
On May 31, Rebecca (Becky) Tarver, RN, BSN, Chief Nursing Officer, retired from Bates County Memorial Hospital after 13 years of service. A reception was held in Becky’s honor on May 26. She was presented with a beautiful set of wind chimes as a retirement gift from the hospital, presented by Chief Executive Officer Greg Weaver.
Becky was hired as the Nurse Manager of the Medical/Surgical/CCU/Tele units in 2009. In December of that year, she was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer.
Becky said, “I am pleased and proud of the departments that I supervised and am confident of the compassionate and professional care all departments provide to the patients, families, and each other. I have full confidence in the exceptional leader who will take my place as the CNO at BCMH. I have made new friends and acquaintances, including four CEO’s, during my 13 years of employment at BCMH. These co-workers have given me a wealth of knowledge and learning experiences. I will value them all, for years to come.”
Becky resides in Butler with her husband, John Tarver, and they have four children and 11 grandchildren. She plans to enjoy her family in retirement, along with “enough projects to last a lifetime.”
BCMH thanks Becky for her years of excellent service to the hospital.
