Community Healthcare Needs Projects
To better understand and address the community’s health needs, the hospital conducts a Community Healthcare Needs Project Assessment (CHNA) every three years. The CHNA begins with a survey process, and the results of the survey are reviewed by a team representing healthcare leaders in the community and other key stakeholders.
A Community Healthcare Needs Assessment is a requirement under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act for not-for-profit hospitals. The purpose of a CHNA is to identify and analyze a community’s health needs.
At Bates County Memorial Hospital, our mission is to continually improve the health of the people of our community.
