BCMH Honors 2025 Award Recipients for Leadership, Service, and Innovation
Bates County Memorial Hospital proudly recognized three exceptional employees at its annual Employee Recognition Party on December 5. These awards highlight individuals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, compassionate service, and forward-thinking ideas that strengthen the hospital and support the community.

Leader of the Year – Ann Donnohue, RN
This year’s Leader of the Year award was presented to Ann Donnohue, Outpatient Clinic Manager. Ann is known for her thoughtful, relationship-focused leadership style and her commitment to creating a supportive, collaborative environment. She works closely with multiple departments to improve processes, enhance patient flow, and develop solutions that benefit both staff and patients. Ann’s ability to listen, problem-solve, and advocate for her team has made a measurable impact across the outpatient clinic service line and the organization as a whole.

Employee of the Year – Elisabeth McCord, MSW
Elisabeth McCord, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Case Management, was named Employee of the Year. Elisabeth plays an essential role in supporting patients and families as they navigate care during and after hospitalization. Her work spans inpatient units, outpatient services, and the oncology clinic. Known for her compassion and exceptional communication, Elisabeth helps patients feel supported through some of their most challenging moments. Her commitment to patient-centered care and her collaboration with staff reflect the hospital’s mission and values.
Suggestion of the Year – Michele Todd
The Suggestion of the Year award was given to Michele Todd of Rehab Services Registration for proposing a streamlined referrals process that resulted in a substantial reduction in printing costs and improved efficiency for staff. Her recommendation demonstrates how practical improvements can strengthen operations and contribute to responsible resource management.
BCMH congratulates Ann, Elisabeth, and Michele on their achievements and thanks them for their continued service to patients, colleagues, and the community.
