Bates County Memorial Hospital Welcomes Pastor Jeremy Henderson to Auxiliary Chaplain Roster
Jeremy Henderson, pastor at Church of the Nazarene in Butler, has joined the Auxiliary of Bates County Memorial Hospital (BCMH) to serve as a chaplain. Pastor Henderson will share chaplain visitation services with Auxiliary Chaplain Mike Humphrey.
Chaplain visits are available to patients and their loved ones. Chaplains visit patients admitted to the hospital as well as those undergoing treatments like chemotherapy or other infusions in the hospital’s Outpatient Specialty Clinics department. As BCMH Auxiliary members, our chaplains are volunteers and have donated countless hours of time for the benefit of our patients and their families.
Earlier in his life, Jeremy Henderson accompanied his father-in-law, a federal prison chaplain, to inmate visits. Pastor Henderson said he was motivated to serve as a chaplain at BCMH to help minister the grace of God to people in their tough times, to support them and let them know they are not alone, and to be a comforting presence.
Pastor Henderson grew up in the Missouri Ozarks. He and his wife Zandra are the parents of four. They moved to Butler in 2022 from Springfield, Mo.
BCMH is thankful for our hard-working group of Auxiliary volunteers. Learn more about volunteering for Bates County Memorial Hospital, or call Human Resources, 660-200-7045.
