About Peter Gochee, MD, PhD, FACS

Dr. Peter Gochee is a board-certified ear, nose and throat specialist (ENT) with advanced training in head and neck surgery. He cares for both children and adults, treating a wide range of conditions—from sinus and breathing problems to sleep apnea, ear pain, and even certain types of cancer.

Dr. Gochee is a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in the elite 2nd Ranger Battalion before beginning his medical career. While earning his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine, he was awarded a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to Australia, where he also completed a Ph.D. in molecular biology.

He went on to complete his ENT surgical training and residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he later served on the faculty. Dr. Gochee also completed a fellowship in advanced ear surgery in Australia, and practiced there for several years before returning to the Midwest.

At Bates County Memorial Hospital, Dr. Gochee provides specialty ENT care twice a month through our Outpatient Specialty Clinics, and offers surgical procedures in our hospital’s operating suite.

Dr. Gochee also provides surgical care in the operating rooms at Bates County Memorial Hospital, offering patients the convenience of expert procedures close to home.
