Interventional Radiology (IR) is a medical specialty that uses minimally invasive, image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. Imaging technologies may include fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, or MRI.

Procedures are performed by board-certified radiologists with advanced training and experience in interventional radiology.

Bates County Memorial Hospital offers a range of interventional radiology procedures, including biopsies, kyphoplasty for compression fractures, arthrography to evaluate joint structure and function, and myelography to help identify disorders of the spinal cord.
