BCMH Health Fair 2026

Join Bates County Memorial Hospital for our annual Health Fair! This year’s event features low-cost lab testing and imaging, free health screenings, healthcare information and demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with your local healthcare team.

Low-Cost Labs & Imaging

Lab testing: 5 tests for $20

The $20 panel includes:

  • A1C
  • Cholesterol
  • Vitamin D
  • TSH
  • Glucose
Additional Testing:
  • Men over 50 may add PSA for $2.50.
  • New this year: Add testosterone for $10.

Carotid Artery Ultrasound: $60

Free Health Screenings

Free screenings will be available throughout the Health Fair, including:

  • Blood Pressure
    Check your blood pressure and learn more about healthy blood pressure levels.
  • Oxygen Level (SpO₂)
    A quick screening to measure the oxygen level in your blood.
  • Carpal Tunnel Screening
    Screening provided by an occupational therapist.

Meet and Greet with Dr. Ethan Weeks, 5–6 p.m.

Meet Ethan Weeks, DO, and learn more about our newest physician joining Bates County Memorial Hospital’s Family Care Clinics.

Free Vision Screening & Eyeglasses with Missouri Lions Eye Mission Foundation & Butler Lions Club

Dr. David and Susie Miller, along with the Missouri Lions Eye Mission Foundation and Butler Lions Club, will provide free vision screenings and free eyeglasses.

The team will use a Spot Vision Screener along with additional screening equipment to evaluate vision needs and help match attendees with available recycled prescription eyeglasses when possible.

Additional screening equipment will include:

  • Titmus machine: measures visual acuity, peripheral vision and color blindness
  • Tonometer: measures eye pressure as part of glaucoma screening

They will also have prescription eyeglasses, reading glasses and sunglasses available at no cost to the public.

People’s Choice voting will be open during the Health Fair for eligible photographs that did not receive First, Second, Third or Honorable Mention awards.
