Bates County Memorial Hospital Supports The Wall That Heals

Bates County Memorial Hospital is proud to support The Wall That Heals, a traveling memorial honoring Vietnam veterans, coming to Bates County this spring.

Recently, BCMH CEO Greg Weaver presented a donation on behalf of the hospital to support the local effort bringing this meaningful memorial to our community. The Wall That Heals is a 375-foot-long, three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., traveling across the country to provide communities with a place for reflection, remembrance, and education.

“It is an honor to welcome The Wall That Heals to Bates County. Our hospital and board felt it was important to come together with our community to help make this meaningful event possible.”

The memorial will be on display April 30 through May 1, 2026, and will offer an opportunity for residents, veterans, families, and visitors to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed.

Bates County Memorial Hospital is grateful to be part of the community collaboration making this event possible and encourages the public to attend when The Wall That Heals visits Bates County.
